Llama Poncho

llamaponcho

I’ve had several people ask me about a poncho pattern featured on this Raveler’s Llama.

I’ve tried contacting her but didn’t get a response, so I finally decided to make my own to share with everyone.  (I inadvertently used turkey colors, but these are what I had, so…. )

ABBREVIATIONS

INSTRUCTIONS:

Colors noted are the colors I used, feel free to substitute whatever color you like.

Important notes:

• Knowledge of color change is required. Feel free to use any color change methods you like, but make sure the float is not tight.

• For best results, use a jogless method of ending the rounds. The method I used is after the last stitch of the current round, SL into the first stitch of the same round, Ch1, and then start the first stitch of the next round in the same stitch as the SL.

Pattern Repeat: Gray squares are in one color and white squares are in a contrast color.
